The effects of climate change are becoming more evident than before. From the heat waves, rising sea levels and stronger storms, individual state governments are recognizing its economic and health related impacts and are taking action. State governments are taking the lead in setting environmental laws that reduce greenhouse-gas emissions to battle climate change.
