Creative Design Resolutions was asked by the City of Dublin to create an Aesthetic Master Plan for the expansion of the nearby US 33 & I 270 Interchange, a two-phase $125 million dollar project. CDR’s team studied the surrounding area’s history and culture as well as conducting focus groups with the City and its residents. The designs that CDR presented reflect the area’s character both thematically and stylistically. The City opted for a river theme that covers MSE walls, a nod to the Scioto river that runs though the eastern half of the city. For the parapet and piers, a stylized Celtic knot shamrock and fieldstone were chosen to pay homage to Dublin’s yearly Irish Festival, one of the largest in the country.
