Award received for the Great Map of Colorado by Steven Weitzman, which showed a substantial achievement within the terrazzo and art industries. The unique 2,200 square feet FOTERA^® terrazzo floor installation covers the entire entry floor to the Great Hall at the History Colorado Center’s newly constructed home in Denver, CO. Consisting of 234 pre-cast full color FOTERA^® terrazzo tiles, when viewed from the upper levels resolves into an interactive topographical map of Colorado, at 1:400 scale. Radio-Frequency ID tags applied to the floor allow for a myriad of interactivity between the art and the people who travel across it.
