The Racetrack Road Gateway Bridge occupies the entrance to what was once the original horse-racing track in Laurel, Maryland. The design for this gateway project includes two precast concrete running horses, which are incorporated into the wingwalls of the bridge structure. The wingwall design is accentuated by the Prince George's County seal and dynamic hoof prints that run along the interior of the parapet walls.
